Everglades Action Day

EAD.png

Since 2012, Floridians celebrate Everglades Day on April 7, in honor of legendary Everglades activist Marjory Stoneman Douglas’ birthday. The state’s support for Everglades Day ensures that the famed ecosystem remains a top priority for elected officials. The Everglades Coalition celebrates Everglades Day by mobilizing to Tallahassee for a Day of Action in the State’s Capitol.

Our last Everglades Action Day took place on February 11, 2020. We brought 50 advocates from all corners of the state and met with over 60 legislators to discuss the importance of a healthy Everglades ecosystem for a clean water supply and for a strong economy.
