The Everglades Coalition is an alliance of 57 local, state, and national conservation and environmental organizations dedicated to full restoration of the Greater Everglades Ecosystem, from the Kissimmee Chain of Lakes into Lake Okeechobee and to the estuaries, through the River of Grass, out to Florida Bay and the Keys.

This year, we’re proud to be celebrating 40 years of our annual conference. Our hope is that this 40th anniversary conference provides a forum for collaboration, strategy, and grounding for all members of our community.

About Our Conference

The Everglades Coalition Conference welcomes more than 400 participants annually and is the largest forum for dialogue on restoration issues for elected leaders, policymakers, scientists, academics, advocates, students, and stakeholders of the Everglades community.

Every year, the conference is hosted in a different location in Florida to spotlight different regions of the ecosystem, allowing us to partner with local municipalities and businesses. We believe this helps us connect the community to our environment and educate people on the Everglades’ incredible benefit to the state.

Achieving our shared vision of a restored Everglades requires the combined efforts of our diverse Everglades community, state and federal agency partners, and tribal nations, as well as strong bipartisan leadership to accelerate restoration and capitalize on future opportunities

Much like a reflection on water, we hope that this conference will provide a chance for participants to consider the past four decades of work while also contemplating where the next four decades may take us.

2024 Highlights

KEYNOTE SPEAKER + AWARD RECIPIENT

Mac Stone

We are excited to announce that Conservation Photographer Mac Stone will be speaking at the Saturday Lunch Program. He'll also receive a special "Voice of Conservation Award" honoring his contributions to the Everglades community.

Stone is a contributing photographer for National Geographic Magazine, a National Geographic Society Explorer, and a senior fellow with the International League of Conservation Photographers. He now resides in South Carolina with his wife and two children, where he also runs a non-profit called Naturaland Trust, where his images and efforts help to permanently protect critical lands for the public.
