CONSERVATIONIST AWARD

Marisa Carrozzo

Marisa has championed the waters and public lands of the Greater Everglades ecosystem for 13+ years. During her 10-year tenure at the Conservancy of Southwest Florida, Marisa was promoted to the position of Everglades and Water Policy Manager for the Conservancy of Southwest Florida for a decade, where she was a sentinel for water quality issues in southwest Florida. Now as Senior Coastal & Wildlife program manager for the National Parks Conservation Association, she continues her work of preserving land and water in areas like the Big Cypress National Preserve, Biscayne National Park, and the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary.

A Word from the Co-Chairs

Thank you for joining us in Bonita Springs, Florida, for the 39th Annual Everglades Coalition Conference hosted by the Conservancy of Southwest Florida!

On behalf of the Everglades Coalition, we welcome you to the largest event and forum for discussing progress on restoring America’s Everglades. We look forward to a productive, educational, and inspiring conference that promotes dialogue and partnerships that advance our shared goal of a restored Greater Everglades ecosystem.

This year’s conference theme is Everglades Restoration Rewards – Benefiting Ecosystems, Economies, and Communities. Our membership selected this theme to underscore the multiple bottom-line benefits that Everglades restoration provides. Our hope is that this conference will serve as a forum to further foster those benefits and continue progress toward a restored River of Grass and we appreciate your involvement.

For the Everglades,

Kelly Cox & Mark Perry
